For 2020 we present an online version of our long running School Maths Olympics, a fast-paced, teamwork-centred maths competition.

Teams are comprised of 5 students representing their high school.

If you're a teacher at a Victorian high school you can register up to two teams (per school) through the eventbrite page. This year the event is completely free and will be held online. The teacher who registers the team is welcome to spectate but must not assist the competitors during the competition. If the teacher is not available on the day they can allocate one of the students to act as team leader. Please ensure under-18s have parent/guardian permission to attend this online event.

If you’re a high school student who would like to compete, please let your teacher know about this event and ask them to register a team for your school.

Competitors will be required to join the Zoom session at 1.30pm to sign in as a team, ready to begin the competition at 2pm. All communication within a team during the competition must take place in the Zoom breakout room, however please contact us if you encounter any technical difficulties.

Places are limited so please let us know if your team is no longer able to attend.

This event is part of the 2020 Science Festival.
