MUMS Puzzle Hunt 2019
The MUMS Puzzle Hunt is an online puzzle competition that has been held annually since 2004.
Hosted by the Melbourne University Mathematics and Statistics Society (MUMS), teams of up to 10 members compete to solve tricky puzzles designed to probe lateral and creative thinking.
These puzzles are not your standard newspaper puzzles like sudokus, where the rules of the puzzle are known to the solver. Rather, you usually receive no information or guidance on how to solve the puzzles; half the fun is figuring out where to start.
There is $600 worth of prize money up for grabs!
Entry is completely free and open to everyone in the world. In fact, this is a truly global event, with teams taking part from all over the world.
