Changing Science is your chance to hear from four scientists and innovators as they share insights into their personal and professional experiences:

  • Dr Leonie Walsh is a chemist and leader in industrial technology development and commercialisation. She was appointed Victoria’s first Lead Scientist in 2013.
  • Dr Irene Gallego Romero leads a research group investigating how natural selection has shaped us humans, with a focus on how genes are regulated. She is currently a lecturer in genetics at the University of Melbourne.
  • Dr Nahid Chalyavi is a chemist specialising in in laser spectroscopy. She’s currently R&D project manager in the Spectroscopy Technology Innovation Centre at Agilent Technologies.
  • Ayesha Ahmed is an aspiring computer scientist with a deep interest in complexity theory and quantum technology. She is active in the tech sphere and regularly takes part in competitive programming.

The panel Q&A will be hosted by Michelle Gallaher, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Women in STEMM Australia. Join us for networking drinks and finger food after the session.
