Join staff of the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences for a fascinating, live demonstration of the microscopic structures of the living human eye, and how we go about testing some of the eye’s basic visual functions (e.g. perception of colour and 3D).

You will also be introduced to a number of situations where our eyes appear to give us false information about the world around us, and consider what this tells us about how the eye and brain functions.

This event is part of the 2017 University of Melbourne Science Festival.
Students, staff and the general public are all welcome to attend. Registrations required.
