Really Big Numbers
JH Mitchell, Peter Hall BuildingMap
What's the biggest number you can think of? What's the biggest number in the universe? Are there any numbers bigger than that? Are these even sensible questions?
In this talk Anthony Mays will take us on a trip from big numbers, to really big numbers to super ginormously mind-blowingly big numbers.
Bring some paper and your coloured pens, pencils and crayons, and in this hands-on talk we'll find out how to write down some "really" big numbers and what you might need them for. This event is for all ages, from 1 to 1000000000000000000000000001.
This event is part of the 2017 University of Melbourne Science Festival.
