Body of People is a collective sound installation that continually grows as participants contribute their heartbeats to a space. As the beats feed back through filters and time shifts they create a chorus of rhythmic noise and throbbing humanity.

The work questions, if you can hear yourself, can you hear another, inside and out? This installation is interested in the intimacy and collectivity this may evoke and the possible blurring of boundaries between internal and external states.

Body of People is a thought for humanity, drawing people into a space of deep listening to explore the capability of sound to affect bodily and energetic states. The accumulation and manipulation of heartbeats creates a chorus of beating, moving between synchronisations, polyrhythms and noise.

Sun 13 Aug - Tues 15 Aug, 12.00pm - 6.00pm.
